Holland Roundup: A HUNDRED-YEAR OLD TRADITION!

Holland Store and Hotel, circa 1913

The Holland Store has been a community gathering point for more than 100 years! The town of Holland was officially founded when it’s post office was established in 1899. The area was named for the local pioneer, James E. Holland. The Holland post office was in operation until 1960.

In it’s heydey as a community, Holland held an annual rodeo, known as the Holland Roundup. The miners, ranchers, and farmers from the far-flung corners of the neighborhood would gather together for a few days of food, rodeo games, music, and most importantly, community connection.

Sasquatch Woods People pictures the upcoming Community Day as a resurrection of the old event, gathering the far-flung community members to share in a day of food, games, music, and of course, connection with each other.
